Makarska
Makarska is a beautiful city, a port and a tourist centre of a riviera that stretches over 50 km along the coast, under the mountain Biokovo. Makarska is situated by the sea and its consists of a city centre built in a Mediterranean style and baroque houses, while in the modern part you can find restaurants, hotels, campsites, apartments and villas. Beaches in the city centre are very beautiful, but if you avoid crowded places, then you can visit one of the peaceful coves nearby.
Biokovo was declared Park of nature i 1981.and it is the highest mountain on the whole Mediterranean (1762m). So, if you are fond of trekking, you can go for walks or go for excursions and explore the area.

Brela
Brela is situated 15 km north-west from Makarska, in the vicinity of Baška Voda. It is located on the coast, between the mountain Biokovo and the island of Brač. Brela is a famous destination of numerous foreign and Croatian tourists because of the lovely beaches, pathways, summer program and excellent choice of accommodation.

Baška voda, Bratuš & Promajna

Podgora
Podgora is a little fishing village, situated 7 km south-east from Makarska. In he recent decades it has built significantly its tourist offer. Although the inhabitants consider fishing and agriculture their main activities, i summer they readily dedicate to tourism and their guests.
Here you can find accommodation in one of the famous hotels or many apartments and pensions. Pogora is mostly considered ideal for peaceful holidays.
Podgora has two marinas – Porat and Čaklje which provide place for 350 boats. Already in the past, these were considered safe harbours for the sailing boats.

Igrane
Igrane is a beautiful village and a port in Makarska riviera which counts 400 inhabitants. Little pebbly and sandy beaches give the place a particular charm, and since it is a known tourist destination, it has few hotels, private pensions and family houses that offer accommodation. During the war with he Turks, a tower Zalina had been build and it is still there, as a remainder of that difficult period in its history.

Drvenik
Drvenik is situated in two bays (Upper and Lower bay), 24 km south-east from Makarska. Inhabitants have always been excellent fishermen and agriculturists but nowadays they are also very active in tourist activities. Lovely pebbly beaches hidden by pine trees offer an excellent relaxation to all the visitors.
Sources of drinking water have also been found here. Tourist offer is very good.

Živogošće
Živogošće is located on the slopes of Biokovo, 20 km from Makarska and it had been inhabited already in Illyrian and roman period which confirm the remains on the hill Suzine and rustically villas in Mala Duba and Blato. Sandy and pebbly beaches are surrounded by pine trees. Živogošće is an excellent choice for relaxation and it has a very good tourist offer – accommodation, wide selection of traditional specialties, water sports and sport fields.

Podaca is a small resort whose inhabitants work primarily in tourist activities, like in other coastal towns on the Adriatic. An old village Podaca situated inland, near Biokovo is nowadays completely abandoned. Tourist offer is really modest, but those who prefer holidays in peaceful environment will find it charming.

Brist
Brist has only 450 inhabitants and is situated in the vicinity of the town Gradac. It exists since 16th century and is known for its Mediterranean charm. Old stone houses and narrow streets remind the visitors of the ancient times and make them forget about the present. Brist has a modest tourist offer but guest will have everything that is necessary for a good holiday.

Marušići
Marušići is a nice and peaceful village located 12 km from the city of Omiš. It is ideal for peaceful vacation in a beautiful environment and sandy and pebbly beaches. Here you can find few restaurants with an excellent selection of dishes You can also go trekking or experience rafting since canyon of river Cetina ad mountain Biokovo are very near. Night life takes place in the cities like Split, Omiš and Makarska.

Mimice is a little village in the central Dalmatia, approx. 15 km from Omiš. It is ideal for a family holiday since it is a rather peaceful destination. Beaches are shallow and good for children, but also for those who enjoy water sports. If you decide to go out in the evening, you can good bars and discotheques in Omiš and Makarska.
